Two Midair Jump Techniques In Metroid Ii Return Of Samus Game Boy A Wild Glitch Appears

Sorry everyone, I forgot to call Samus "Metroid" in this video. But did you know there are two really easy ways to jump in midair in Metroid II: Return of Samus?

One of these techniques is called the Morph Jump and it's super simple. All you need to do is roll off a ledge or cliff in Morph Ball form, then tap up to unmorph in midair. After you unmorph, press A to jump any time. This allows for easy midair jumps, and is great for difficult platforming sections.

The other technique is called the Bump Jump. All you need to do is have Samus take damage in midair, and after getting "bumped" by an enemy or projectile or something, press A to jump again in midair. This trick can let you bypass the Spider Ball to a degree, or at least delay acquiring it for a while.

Anyway, I learned these tricks from good ol' Metroid 2002, which is like the OG speedrunning site - metroid2002.com/2/
