Research Seminar Can Primary Care Influence The Care Trajectories Of Older Adults With Dementia

The care of people with dementia isa WHO public health priority. People with dementiause health services twice as much as people without dementia. Interdisciplinary primary care such as family practice groups and continuity of carewith the family physicians have been proposed as an ideal approach to managing the growing and complex population of people with dementia, but evidence of their effectis lacking, particularly in terms of equity of access to services. Through several Canadian and international research projects, the ROSA (Research on Organization of Healthcare Services for Alzheimer's) team will present the current state of knowledge on this burning and increasingly important issue in our ageing societies.
