Why Using Mental Health Terms Without Context Is Wrong Feminism In India

Growing up we all might have used and heard phrases like:
“My ex was a psycho”, “My mom literally OCDed all over my room”, called someone “bipolar” just because they seem a little confused or even saying things like “I will have a panic attack” every time one is in a difficult situation” However, it is important to know that while it may seem casual and normal to use these words, it can discredit the experiences of those who may actually have the symptoms and which often go undiagnosed because of the stigma and the fear of judgment associated with it.

“Why does this happen and how it takes away the seriousness of the condition or generalises those who actually battle with it every day?” In this video, let us take a look at this.
