where is Einstein's brain now? What secret it holds for his brain to be this genius? Albert Einstein passed away from an abdominal aneurysm on April 18, 1955, at the University Medical Center of Princeton in Plainsboro, New Jersey, when he was 76 years old. Thomas Stoltz Harvey, a pathologist at Princeton Hospital who handled Einstein's autopsy, took the late physicist's brain from his body as soon as he passed away. he cut it into 240 blocks and kept most of the preserved pieces in his personal possession for more than 40 years.Currently, 170 of those blocks are being stored behind closed doors at the University Medical Center of Princeton. The Mütter Museum of Medical History in Philadelphia is home to another 46 microscopic slices of Einstein's brain tissue, and many of the other fragments are still missing.
Harvey placed those brain slices on slides without asking Einstein's family's permission and gave them away to anybody he thought would be able to unlock the secrets of the brain. According to research, Einstein's frontal lobe, which is connected to working memory and planning and facilitates speedy information processing, has an additional groove compared to other people's brain structures.
