On November 5, Missourians have the opportunity to vote on whether the state should legalize abortion before a fetus is viable outside the womb. Currently, abortion is only allowed in Missouri if the pregnancy endangers the life of the mother.

This episode is the first of our new series Nine PBS Reports. The series will provide context on the current events impacting our region. Today’s story was produced in partnership with the Missouri Independent.
