- You don't have to walk this journey alone. The fact that you're an undergrad doesn't mean that you do not get to be involved in research opportunities. Actually we have offices and centers on campus that connect our undergraduate and graduated students with research opportunities both on and off campus. To mention a few, we have the Learning Resource Center. It provides, like, tutoring services for our undergrad and grad students and also we have the Office of Undergraduate Research and Studies and this is the one that connects you with all the research opportunities that are available both on and off campus and my head is, okay cool. Yeah, moving on. So, this slide is very important because this might come at the end, or like towards the end, of our presentation, but this is your top priority. Taking good care of yourself. You come first. I understand that it's important to study for long hours at the first semester to get acclimated to the new academic environment. I understand it is stressful, I understand you get to feel that you need to compete with your peers which you shouldn't, but well being is huge.

-Taking care of your mental, physiological, emotional, physical health is a priority. If you do not take care of yourself none of the things that we've been talking for 20 minutes about would ever be accomplished. You need to get rest, you need to eat well, if you like to work out we have the recreation center. I started going, so PhD is insane. It's crazy and I'm trying to keep my sanity so I started to going to yoga three times a week like three weeks ago and it's working. Massachusetts is beautiful. Like, back home in Egypt we don't have all, like, these forest, like, hiking trails so that was really exciting for me to, like, be able to go on hikes. I do that during the summer and like the fall so take advantage of that. Some of the other resources that we have here, we have Stone Wall which is Center which is educational un-communal space dedicated to the LGBTQIA+ community. We also have Center for Health Promotion. So we have Smart About Money and I know that this is a big transition from high school to college and you will be, like, in charge of your own money and spendings so we also have the resources to help you out, like, plan out your budget.

- I like how Kabul takes care of herself by being active, doing yoga. I take care of myself by treating myself to lunch on campus and eating food.

- More resources, so we have the International Programs Office. I know we don't have any international students here, but I just wanna point that out. I am so it's there.

- But they're also there to support you in study abroad.

- Yes, true. Thank you. And we have the Disability Services Office, we have the Off Campus Student Center that offers support and advice for living off campus. So we are all here for you. Make the effort to put yourself out there, make new friends, make connections, it's a new journey, it's a new adventure, is it gonna be scary? Yes. Is it challenging? Yes. Is it rewarding? Yes. You're gonna enjoy it, yes. You'll love it and if you don't, you can look up my name on, like, UMass finder and you can shoot me an email like, "I didn't like it. You lied in the presentation." Which I didn't but...

- And she's working on her PhD so she'll be here for a bit.

- So I'm around for a while so you can, like, get a ahold of me. So yeah, Renne.
