Thousands Gather For Armistice Day

Thousands of people gathered around the South in about twenty centres yesterday to mark the centenary of the Armistice that ended World War 1.

More than eighteen thousand New Zealand troops died during the war to end all wars, with the country sustaining its greatest losses in the final year.
