On March 30th 2015 Captain Brian A. Babb a wounded veteran of the Afgan war was shot and killed by a Eugene Oregon police officer while standing on his front porch demanding his constitutional rights. Brian's family felt the EPD overreacted in their militaristic approach on that fateful day. Over a month later Lane County District Attorney Alex Gardner found Eugene police officer Will Stutesman cleared of any wrong doing. On May 4th 2015 the family of Capt. Brian A. Babb held a press conference to express their many concerns on Alex Gardner's findings and their concern for veterans returning home with PTSD.
