The Vengeful Execution Of The Blackout Ripper Londons Ww2 Serial Killer

During The Blitz in London, it wasn't just the German bombers that the people of the English capital had to fear. There was a serial killer who operated inside of the city during the Second World War, and he drew links to Jack the Ripper, such was the horrific nature of his murders and crimes. Under the cover of darkness as the German aircraft passed overheard, Gordon Cummins stalked the streets and in the space of a week murdered 4 women in horrific and barbaric fashion.

Gordon Cummins was 'The Blackout Ripper,' and he was a member of the RAF who longed to become a Spitfire pilot. However he was a serial liar, and a very strange man who regularly frequented the most exclusive bars and clubs in London's West End. He was known to tell lies about his background, claiming to be from the nobility. However during February 1942 he ruthlessly butchered and murdered a number of women in horrendous brutality. He killed 4 women during this spree, however a number of other unsolved murders have been attributed to him. He also attacked more women, and during one attempted murder he left his RAF haversack and gas mask nearby.

This was then placed back to Cummins, and he was quickly arrested and placed on trial. It took only 35 minutes for the jury to confirm his guilt, and for his crimes he was sentenced to death. Inside of Wandsworth Prison, The Blackout Ripper was executed by Albert Pierrepoint in swift fashion.
