Prof Walter Weder speaks to ecancer at BGICC 2023 about the role of lymph nodes in stage 3 lung cancer.
He outlines that data showed after neoadjuvant chemo or chemoradiation treatment the number of complete response in single or multiple stations was the same. Also the number of persistent positive lymph nodes was the same for single and multiple stations.
Prof Weder summarises surgical decisions about resectable disease should be done after the neoadjuvant treatment and not before.
