The US President Joe Biden urged Americans to lower the political temperature and called for unity after an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump. Trump’s shooting “calls on all of us to take a step back,” Biden said in his remarks in a rare Oval Office address. Biden also highlighted that violence in America cannot be normalised.
