The search for a woman who fell from a Taylor Swift-themed cruise ship in the Bahamas was suspended Wednesday, a day after she went into the water, officials said.
The U.S. Coast Guard said Wednesday afternoon that the Royal Bahamas Defence Force was suspending its search pending new developments and that it no longer needed the Coast Guard's assistance.
The 66-year-old woman, a passenger on the Royal Caribbean ship Allure of the Seas, was reported to have gone overboard around 9:40 p.m. Tuesday, when the ship was about 17 miles from Nassau, the Coast Guard said.
