The Rutgers Cancer Institute 2016 Annual Retreat on Cancer Research in New Jersey was held May 26, 2016, at the Rutgers College Avenue Student Center in New Brunswick, NJ. The retreat topic was "Cancer Survivors: Advancing Care through Research" featuring keynote speaker Alfred I. Neugut, MD, PhD, Associate Director for Population Sciences, Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center, Myron M. Studner Professor of Cancer Research, Columbia University. Additional sessions included "Couple-Focused Group Therapy for Women Diagnosed With Breast Cancer", "Prostate Cancer Follow-up: Promoting Self-Care After Cancer Treatment Ends", and "A Vision for Personalized Care in Cancer Survivorship."
