Pampāļi, not far from Saldus (Frauenburg), Kurland, Latvia, 22 April 2018. Few days before road workers have stumbled upon human remains during road reconstruction works, Legenda was called. The recovery was urgent as the road works should continue. Members of Legenda, Latvian War Graves Commission and volunteers during the day have recovered 145 Soviet soldiers, who were killed in a battle in February of 1945, among them were found 5 numbered orders and medals which will help to bring back their names, at least 5 of them will be identified. 15 Years ago in the same place, but on another side of the road, Legenda recovered 140 soldiers. We will get back to this place, as there should be more... Work will be continued.
