President Joe Biden honored America’s military dead at Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31, by laying a wreath at the hallowed burial ground.

READ MORE: U.S. President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and the nation’s top military officials took part in a wreath-laying ceremony Monday at Arlington National Cemetery as the country observes the annual Memorial Day holiday dedicated to honoring its war dead.
Biden, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Mark Milley also spoke during a remembrance ceremony at the cemetery located just outside of Washington.
“We must remember the price that was paid for our liberties,” Biden said on Sunday as he addressed a crowd of veterans and families of fallen service members. “We must remember the debt we owe those who have paid it, and the families left behind. My heart is torn in half by the grief.”
