Two of Delta’s most experienced pilots are at the controls of the L-1011 Tristar, billed as one of the safest planes in the sky. The crew sees rain and lightning ahead, but decide to continue their approach. Once inside the storm the crew quickly discovers that the driving rain will be the least of their problems.
