Being an outside sales rep comes with a lot of perks, especially if you hate being cooped up in an office all day.

However, life on the road can take its toll on your health if you are not proactive.

Being successful in sales requires a healthy mind and a healthy body [Healthy mind + healthy body = sales success!]

Here are 4 simple tips to help you stay fit:

1 – ensure you are getting enough sleep…. Sleep is not only important for your metabolic function, but cognitive function as well,

2 – plan your meals…when you are tired and hungry, if left with no better options, it’s tempting to opt for bad food choices. Do your best to plan meals and snacks ahead of time and have them in your car,

3 – drink lots of water….staying hydrated helps your metabolism and brain function,

4 – park far away…fitting in time to exercise can be challenging for many outside reps. Even small things you can do like parking your car in the back of the parking lot will force you to get those steps in!
