A couple is hailing a pair of middle schoolers as heroes after the 12- and 13-year-olds saved their three dogs from a house fire. Mario Comella and Anthony Lombardi were passing a neighbor’s house when they heard a fire alarm going off inside. They called the homeowners, and were able to get the code to open the front door. When they opened it, they were met with smoke — but braved the danger to ensure the three dogs inside got out to safety.
