The U.S. Senate returned to Washington on Friday to begin the second session of the 116th Congress, although it remains unclear when President Trump's impeachment trial will start.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Senate Minority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer addressed the Senate about the status of the impeachment trial of U.S. President Donald Trump after two weeks of relative silence.
