Life After The Icu

The intensive care unit (ICU) is a special department of a hospital or health care facility that provides intensive treatment. Intensive care units cater to patients with severe and life-threatening illnesses and injuries which require constant monitoring and support to ensure normal bodily functions. This video explores what life can be like after the ICU, how to cope with some stresses and get back to living life to the fullest!

This video was created by a group of McMaster University students in a knowledge translation course for the Demystifying Medicine series: Angie Ibrahim, Bakht Khan, Michelle Goldsand, Ramneet Mann, and Verina Hanna.
