My initial reaction to Peterson's emphatic comments about monetising creativity was combative. Which makes perfect sense, since it uprooted the sense of security I had in my vocation. However, there is no denying that after the emotional explosion subsides, there remains a firmer awareness of the colossal battle that lies ahead.

Learning such a concept is painful and uncomfortable, yet frequent episodes of anxiety can be very helpful in tuning the senses to the trials at hand. The idea will dissolve into my subconscious inevitably as I continue onwards, yet if there is even the slightest increase in perception regarding my place in the world, the whole neurotic ordeal is more than worth it.
