Its A Wonderful Life George Bailey Family

Voted "THE MOST INSPIRATIONAL MOVIE OF ALL TIME" by The American Film Institute. Frank Capra said this scene was the most difficult scene to Direct in the entire movie. It had so much going on. George Bailey was depressed for losing the $8,000 . You had all the stuff with the kids happening. The older boy, Peter(Larry Simms) asking how to spell this and that. Janie(Carol Coombs) pounding on the piano. Then the comedy relief from Tommy(Jimmy Hawkins) with the 'scuse me line. The comedy mixed with the heavy drama could have been a disaster. But Capra's steady hand over came.
When Capra was asked what he would have done differently if he could do it over, He said, the only thing he would have changed was with the Mary Hatch character, when George wasn't born. He thought that a women so set on getting George to marry her would never had turned out to be a meek spinster librarian. He would have made her a more independent tailored women competing in a man's world. Much credit goes to each actor in this scene.Karolyn Grimes (ZUZU) upststairs.
