Itaú Unibanco is the largest bank in Latin America, present in 18 countries with around 65 million clients. For the 21st consecutive time, Itaú Unibanco was selected to be part of the Dow Jones World Sustainability Index (DJSI World), being the only Latin financial institution in the index since its creation in 1999. Ricardo Guerra, CIO of Itaú Unibanco, shares some of the organization's modernization journey and the benefits of establishing a Data Lake on AWS, using services such as Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Athena, and Amazon QuickSight to carry out more than 100,000 deployments in 2021 and reduce by 75% the incidents that impact the customer. Also, AWS Services such as Amazon Kinesis, AWS Lambda, and Amazon Simple Notification Service gives Itaú Unibanco the speed to innovate, launch new products, and improve quality for their customers.
