Israel Hamas War Yahya Sinwar Named Haniyeh Successor Livenow From Fox

Hamas has named Yahya Sinwar as its new leader after the recent assassination of former political chief Ismail Haniyeh. Sinwar, who has been hiding in Gaza amid the war with Israel, was the mastermind of the October 7th attacks. "The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas announces the selection of Commander Yahya Sinwar as the head of the political bureau of the movement, succeeding the martyr Commander Ismail Haniyeh, may Allah have mercy on him," the group said in a statement. Tensions remain high in the Middle East after Haniyeh's killing, which has caused the Iranian government to vow retribution against Israel.
