There are thousands of people with addiction to alcohol and in recovery from opioids and other drugs unaware of their civil rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This webinar provides an overview on how the ADA applies to alcohol and substance use disorders using scenarios to illustrate the application of the ADA to alcohol, opioids and other drugs, including cannabis

Presenter
Dr. Oce Harrison directed the New England ADA Center from 2001-2023. Currently, she manages ADA Special Projects and provides ‘ADA, Addiction, and Recovery trainings throughout the region and nationally.

Dr. Harrison has presented for the: Opioid Response Network; National Association for Addiction Professionals (NAADAC); Massachusetts Organization for Addiction and Recovery (MOAR); Massachusetts Alcohol and Drug Counselors Association (MAADAC); and in 25 cities and towns on behalf of Learn to Cope.
