Health Inequities Through The Transplant And Donation Process Akf

Disparities in accessing healthcare have led to Black Americans with kidney disease being less likely to receive a transplant evaluation, a longer time on the wait list, less likely to be preemptively waitlisted, and less likely to receive a living donor transplant. This session explores the underlying reasons these disparities exist and what can be done to overcome them.
