Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK) is a better surgery compared to other forms of keratoplasty for the management of endothelial dysfunction.
The case here is a patient with Fuch's endothelial dystrophy and cataract. His pre-op visual acuity was 6/18 and suffers from disabling glare.
Dr Sheng Chiong Hong (MB BCh BAO, MOphth, FRANZCO) an eye specialist from oDocs Eye Care have performed a combined triple procedure.
At 6 weeks post-op, he is able to see 6/6 out of this eye.
