Gita Krishnankutty
Head of Inward Investment, South India -Department for International Trade - The British High Commission, Bengaluru, India.
Joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) in the year 2000. Was appointed at the then British Trade Office, Bangalore as a Commercial Officer. Within a year Gita was promoted to take up a temporary role as the first India Inward Investment Officer for the then InvestUK Department. This Post was confirmed and the team grew to a thirty member group, based in eight cities, which she headed up as the national lead. Gita’s role is to ensure the UK remains in the #1 position in the region for Indian investors.
Gita began her career in Corporate Marketing in the hotel industry and after joining the BHC network has been advising and assisting Indian corporate houses, high-net worth Individuals and entrepreneurs across India to set up in the UK and expand globally from a UK base.
