Chernobyl contained many secrets. But even amongst the labyrinth of lies and deceit created by the Soviet Union during the post-accident crisis, another secret stood waiting to be discovered by the wider world. Maps marked it as a Children’s Camp, but in reality, what really lay within the trees was a military installation like no other. A secret city. Once a crowding piece of the Soviet military’s technology, it now stands alone, rusting and decaying to a shadow of its former self. DUGA. The Russian Woodpecker.
