Biden To Hold Climate Summit To Push Ambitious 2030 Emissions Target

President Biden is holding a global online summit next month and has extended invitations to 40 world leaders as he moves to resurrect the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement.

The White House said the world must act with urgency and push the economic benefits of going green and flagging an "ambitious" 2030 Emissions Target ahead of the Summit.

Invitations have been sent out to Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping whose cooperation is seen as critical to achieving any major climate agenda.
