If any more proof was needed that COVID-19 has up-ended life in Australia, it came at dawn today.
The only official national Anzac service at the War Memorial in Canberra happened behind closed doors, witnessed in person by just 12 dignitaries.
But that brief ceremony then became the cue for Australians to take matters into their own hands - in their own neighbourhoods - across the country.
