Earlier this year, I became the medical director of Acute on Chronic, a cannabis nurse group. What is a cannabis nurse, you ask? These are former ICU/oncology/ER/palliative personnel who are certified in cannabis. Our interdisciplinary team creates cannabis care plans for people who self-refer or are referred by other practitioners. We work with our clients to adjust the care plans over time and ensure that the relevant medical teams are looped in about what we are doing.
