Ties between India and ASEAN have come a long way from the time it was a sectoral dialogue partner of ASEAN in 1992 to when it becmae a strategic partner of ASEAN in 2012. The 12th India-Asian summit in Nay Pyi Taw tomorrow is expected to give a significant impetus to the new govt's Act East Policy. Talks are likely to range from strategic and economic ties to drawing the action plan for 2015-2020.
