Hawaii, a beautiful island in the Pacific Ocean. When you hear stories, they are usually of romance and adventure, that is unless you’ve heard of the Hawaiian Urban Legend of The NightMarchers. So if you ever hear the sound of war drums in the distance, get out of the way, or face the wrath of this urban legend the Nightmarchers.

Idaho The Water Babies of Massacre Rocks

This Urban Legend gets WEIRD. Idaho’s Legend of the Water Babies of Massacre Rocks. Many, many years ago, Native Americans lived on this land, during the time of a great famine. Urban Legend has it, that if you sit in silence near the river by Massacre rocks, the babies will make their presence known.

Illinois Homey The Clown

It’s the fall of 1991 in Chicago, Illinois. Kids were in school and getting ready for Halloween to come. There was a really popular clown on the hit TV show named Homey D. Clown played by Damon Wayans. But he wasn’t the only clown in everyone’s minds. In fact there was another Homey The Clown, and he had sinister plans. You see what makes this Urban Legend so frightening is the fact that it may have been true. To this day people still remember Homey The Clown, though they all just wish they could forget.

It seems that every cemetery is rumored to be haunted. I bet you can find a cemetery near your town with a creepy urban legend attached to it. Rarely any are as creepy as this Indiana Urban Legend . Have you ever wanted to know how or when you will die?

Iowa Villisca Axe Murder House

On a quiet road in the quiet town of Villisca sits a very normal looking quiet white house. This house isn’t normal though. It was once the site of a very real, very horrifying series of murders. 8 to be exact. The Villisca Axe Murders happened sometime between the evening of June 10th and early morning of June 11th in 1912. The victims were the 6 members of the Moore Family and their two house guests. These crimes go unsolved to this very day. Now this is what actually happened, this is where the truth ends and the american urban legends begin. T

With origins dating back to the 1700’s in New Orleans, The Grunch is one of many terrifying Louisiana Urban Legends. This road’s name, well Grunch Road of course. These people began to breed with one another, creating more and more deformed broods until they could no longer be considered human.

Maine Colonel Jonathon Buck’s Tomb

Ah yes, Maine. Beautiful seaside towns, delicious lobster, incredible light houses, and the cursed tomb. Yes another of many true scary stories. Colonel Jonathon Buck founded the town of Bucksport, Maine, then called Buckstown.

Maryland The Goatman

There are many Goatman legends, but this one has survived the test of time due to it’s off backstory. There was once a scientist who worked for the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center. This scientist specialized in working with animal DNA. During one experiement, he had a terrible accident, splicing goat DNA with his own, mutating him in to blood thirsty and monstrous Goatman.
