A session for community workers in Surrey, Langley, Abbotsford, Hope, Chilliwack and surrounding communities.

Jeff Speed examined the court process for child protection cases and explained what the legislation allows the Ministry to do and what it cannot do without a court order. Jeff also discussed out of court cases, including safety plans and voluntary care agreements with a special emphasis on how the Parents Legal Centre is able to assist families with Ministry involvement, whether their case is court-involved or not.
